We understand that the nationwide Canada Post strike has created uncertainty and frustration for many of our Canadian customers. To make things clearer and easier, we’ve put together this FAQ section to answer common questions about shipping delays and what to expect.
📦 Shipping Delays FAQ – Canada Post Strike
Why is my order delayed?
Canada Post is currently on strike, which has disrupted deliveries nationwide. While we prepare and ship every order promptly from our warehouse, delivery is handled entirely by Canada Post once a package leaves our facility. We are a small Canadian business, and like you, we are directly impacted by this strike. While we cannot issue refunds for delays, we are committed to supporting our customers. As a gesture of appreciation for your patience, we will do our best to provide a goodwill store credit once your order has been successfully delivered.
Why did you not use another carrier?
Like our customers, we were not aware of the Canada Post nationwide strike until it was officially announced in the news. All orders shipped prior to that point were already handed over to Canada Post. As soon as we became aware of the strike, we immediately began using an alternative carrier for new orders to minimize further delays.
Who is responsible for the delay?
Delays are being caused by the Canada Post strike. This is not something we control, and it affects all retailers and customers who rely on Canada Post. Like our customers, we were not aware of the strike until it was officially announced. As soon as we learned about it, we immediately began using an alternative carrier for new orders.
Am I entitled to a refund because of the delay?
No. As outlined in our Shipping & Delivery Delay Policy, delivery timelines are not guaranteed during strikes, severe weather, or other carrier disruptions. We cannot provide refunds for delays once an order has shipped, since your product has already left our warehouse and is in Canada Post’s possession.
What if I contact my credit card company for a chargeback?
Please be aware that chargebacks for carrier-related delays are not valid under our policy, which you agreed to when placing your order. We provide proof that your order was shipped on time — before the strike was announced — and is currently in the possession of Canada Post. In the event of a chargeback, we will supply this documentation to your credit card provider. These disputes are denied because the order was shipped properly and within our stated terms and conditions.
What if I contact consumer rights organizations?
Our policies are fully compliant with Canadian consumer protection standards. By placing an order, you agree to our posted shipping policies, which clearly state that delays caused by carriers (including Canada Post) are outside our responsibility.
Can you switch my package to another carrier?
Unfortunately, no. Once a package has been shipped and handed over to Canada Post, we cannot reroute or transfer it to another carrier.
How can I check the status of my order?
Please use the tracking link provided in your shipping confirmation email. Updates may be paused during the strike, but as soon as operations resume, your parcel will begin moving again.
Can I cancel my order?
If your order has not yet been shipped, you may request a cancellation by contacting us. If your order has already been shipped, we cannot cancel or refund it while it is in Canada Post’s possession.
What happens once the strike is over?
Canada Post will begin processing shipments in the order they were received. Your package will move automatically without any action required from you.

As a token of appreciation for your patience, once your parcel has been delivered, we will do our best to provide a goodwill store credit.

⚖️ Legal Disclaimer
By placing an order with Bulldog, you agreed to our published Shipping & Delivery Delay Policy. Once an order has been shipped and handed over to Canada Post or another carrier, Bulldog is no longer responsible for transit times, delays, or disruptions caused by carrier actions, strikes, weather events, or other circumstances beyond our control.
All shipments include carrier-issued tracking information as proof of fulfillment. Under Canadian consumer protection guidelines, retailers are responsible for shipping orders as advertised, not for carrier delays once an item has left their facility. For this reason, refunds cannot be issued for delayed deliveries.
Any disputes or chargebacks raised for carrier-related delays will be contested with full documentation of timely shipment and tracking records.
